Anyway, something to deal with the leavers/leechers in AB/RA would invigorate some interest in low level PvP I think, clear up the community a bit.

Indeed, I do love Ab, but leechers and leavers spoil matchs so bad, such a chain reaction once 2 or 3 people leave and we have leachers , hard to fix though realy.

Fix drop rates in GWEN
Change GWEN armors to something unique
Add extra explorables in the asuran and charr homeland areas
fix trade and party search to make it easier to trade between districts(length restrictions on party search messages...ugh)
Fix hero/hench AI...or do away with henchies altogether to make people PUG...the idiots aren't going to learn until they're told. Some won't take criticism well, but many will.

For PvE:
1. 7 heros instead of 3 to make up for lack of player base in certain areas.
2. More weapon skins for players to attain.
3. Give players actual rewards for the completion of certain titles.
For PvP
1. Deal with leachers/leavers in RA/AB
2. rebalance skills for all classes now that all skills tba are out.

Guils Wars cant be saved.
PvE: Even if new marketing got new players to join (dubious considering the age of the game), thanks to heros said new player will rarely get to play with others (especially good others, who have shunned pugs for over a year) and will leave after a early playthrough, treating GW like a single player game.
PvP: No new player is going to pay $160-$200 and grind for ages for skill unlocks just for the right to run into rank discrimination.
If there are new players, the inevitable is just a matter of time.

GW is on "coast" mode till GW2.
I do suspect one semi-big update for Gwen at least, the mission packs (Nov).
Beyond that... who knows.
I've just picked one main character and focus on and working on HoM unlocks.

Skill balance and fixing every known bug would be a decent start point.

I don't think it needs "saving," though I'd like to see 7 heroes for those of us that can't always coordinate our schedule with friends and don't find playing with strangers the least bit fun.

/signed - Those little odd bugs that are presently in the game do add up.
Especially verified one's in the bug forum.

How come that starter areas, and follow-up zones are the overcrowded?
But RIP GW or something. Since GW is mostly complete, forums offer no information anymore.
So a better thing would be: Only this few people are whining.

To save the game, you need to make it less viable in solo play than it is in PUG play. A very unpopular notion, but I stand by it.
PUGs are as bad as they are because they are uncommon and thus lack experienced people. I get better PUGs in WoW or City of Heroes not because those games are better (they aren't) or have better players (they don't) but because the players there are forced to PUG more often.
That in turn causes them to be more social.
So I stand by an idea I posted elsewhere - if a group has only 1 human in it, lower the maximum group size by 1. If a group has more than 3 humans in it, raise the maximum group size by 1.
And create an auction house. That will reduce the amount of people standing in towns trading, which is bad for socializing, but it will also increase the breadth of what kinds of goods are traded - and will result in an increase of socializing as people discuss wider ranges of goods and going out to farm them.
Finally, crafting. Remove all the armor, weapon, and artisan merchants from the game - and make it so players make armor, weapons, and transform materials. In the alternative, rather than remove NPC crafters, lower the utility of what they make by perhaps 10-20%, and allow only players to craft fully useful items. So if an NPC crafts an armor 10 chest piece, cut it to 8, and allow only a player of the level of crafting equivalent to that zone to make armor 10 items.
A radical change, too much for an already built game? No - City of Heroes did it in their 9th update, almost 2 or 3 years after the game originally came out. It was a radical change, but it created a sudden upswing in social activity.
And if not in GW1, crafting and an auction house had better be in GW2. Otherwise that game will face the same social doom that GW1 faces.

You realize this would just cause those of us that solo to stop playing the game, right? You can't force someone to play differently, it's a game. The instant it ceases to be fun, we move on to something else. If your suggestions were implemented I'd literally toss my copies of GW, as they'd be worthless to me. I'd certainly never buy an Anet product ever again, to boot.
People that want to play social games are generally already playing them. GW is built with socialization optional, it's one of the things that makes it stand out from the crowd. Instancing and heroes/henches are the reasons many folks bought the game in the first place. Remove them and it's just another crappy MMORPG (I'm looking at you, GW2).

PuP backs and Balthazar Faction who has to grind away in pve to get most of the skills unlocked and yes it can be saved.

Dear Guild Wars,
We have been together how long now? 2 and a half years? We really had one of the most personal relationships out of every couple i know. I was there for you during your massive surgeories and you were there for me on those lonely nights. I remember you trying to bolster our relationship with travel plans to the grungy cities of Cantha and the african cities of Elona. Those were fun days. But our relationship grew stale and old. I could see that you have aged not of a fine wine but a withering flower. You tried megerly to amend us by taking me back to where we first met in Tyria. But you just showed me how old you really are. You offered new and exciting adventures with me, i bit and followed along only to see that you really didnt try to amend our relationship. You really didnt try hard enough and showed a lazyness i have never seen before. I see a glimmer in your eye for someone else who wants to spend only a moments with you a week.
Its time for us to part our ways. I may come back from time to time to service you the way you like it. I guess this is good bye for now.
p.s.-I see your daughter GW2 is looking mighty nice, tell her to give me a call when she turns 18 in a year and a half.

Here is a bette question, what would improve your enjoyment of GW.
For me it would be some bug fixes, skill adjustments for the pve skills and more intelligent drop system for GW:EN and other High end areas.
In the Elite maps/dungeons and end game missions there should be no non-max drops at all, instead reduce the number of drops significantly and improve thier quallity. This would bring people back, would not promote farming as you would need to complete a large portion if not all of the misson/quest/dungeon inorder to get 3-5 good max moddable drops.
Finnally one idea for a PvE skill, a truely unique skill that each player can customize. You get to set it as a skill, touch, spell or attack, set its dmg or adren or energy cost or recharge time(setting one would auto set the others), its linked attribute and Target Foe/Ally. Depending on the attribute its tied to you would get a secondary effect as well. ie. soulreaping = zealous, blood = vamp, earth = knockdown, strength = sundering, marksmanship = unblockable, fast casting = half recharge next spell.
Now that would be cool, something you could playwith and change all the time for any class or build.
Oh and a Pet Stable would really rock too!!!!!!
